In My Red High Heels

I loved you from the very start, You stole my breath, embraced my heart.
Our life together has just begun, You're part of me my little one.
As mother with child, each day I grew, My mind was filled with thoughts of you.
I'd daydream of the things we'd share, Like late-night bottles and teddy bears.
Like first steps and skinned knees, Like bedtime stories and ABC's.
I thought of things you'd want to know, Like how birds fly and flowers grow.
I thought of lessons I'd need to share, Like standing tall and playing fair.
When I first saw your precious face, I prayed your life be touched with grace.
I thanked the angels from above, And promised you unending love.
Each night I lay you down to sleep, I gently kiss your head and cheek.
I count your little fingers and toes; I memorize your eyes and nose.
I linger at your nursery door, Awed each day I love you more.
Through misty eyes, I dim the light, I whisper "I Love You" every night.

I loved you from the very start,
You stole my breath,
embraced my heart.
As mother and child our journey's begun,
My heart's yours forever little one.

From the very start!

Truthful Thursday : Mystery of Chopsticks- Solved

Tonight we had Chinese take out and Toby brought home two sets of chopsticks. At first I thought well I guess I will just get a fork out of the drawer but seeing his love for using them, I thought maybe I could impress him by trying them out tonight with honest effort. Honestly, I have never been a fan of these tiny little sticks that are suppose to serve as utensils for me to eat my dinner with. There are an abundance of directions available

1. Simple Elementary version- X= NO and O= YES. Note the handy directioanlity arrows that adds emphasis to my understanding of their correct and incorrect use.

2. This one gives a little more detail with a few more words..........

3. These are a little better in their elaborate demonstration and detail of use but I persoanlly like option 4.....

Personally none of these directions helped me, so I found my own technique :)
SKEW!
Chicken looks gross on camera~ Noted!
In all this, I still haven't found an easy method for the rice........

Daily Brushing up Skills

I have made it a point everyday to have Sadie brush her teeth when I do. Now it has become a daily mommy and Sadie thing. I can say, "Sadie, do you want to brush your teeth?" and she will run to the bathroom. It is precious! This was us a couple of weeks ago.

It is highly difficult to capture some of your best moments when you are home alone- but I was bound and determined to get this because I knew she wouldn't let me help her for very long.........
Miss Independent
You have got to love HUGE hugs afterwards :)
